The giveaway includes a complete bathroom makeover which includes handicap accessible fixtures and features, a $25,000 value. Making these changes can make a huge difference for a child with special needs and his or her family. Big Splash is an opportunity for Schloegel to do what they do best for a family that needs a little help.
This year, as in past years, we’ve partnered with the Love Fund For Children to help us identify our recipient family so that this initiative can have the greatest impact.

In past years, we’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing children and families! Our 2016 Big Splash recipient, Tristan, was born with dwarfism or formally Achondroplasia. Normal sized fixtures and counters hindered his ability to be independent. Tristan also wasn’t safe in the old bathroom. He slipped several times trying to climb to use the sink, tub and toilet.
“Tristan’s bathroom has been life-changing. We no longer have to hover over him or assist him in the bathroom. We are trying to raise him to be as independent as he can be but the bathroom always created a challenge. Now he is able to independently complete basic tasks that so many of us take for granted. He is so proud that he can do all these things on his own now and now the bathroom also doubles as a car wash for his Lego cars.” – Leandria Ramirez, Tristan’s Mother
