Schloegel Design Remodel is celebrating 37 years in business this week! In those 37 years, the company has grown from founder Jake Schloegel with a tool box and some broken down ladders to a full-service operation that includes a handyman division and approximately 40 employees. All in all, it’s been a joyful journey, Jake said.
“I evolved out of the low-paying real estate work and gradually worked into the not-much-better paying remodeling work. My 30th birthday came, and I decided to keep it going since I enjoyed the self-employment,” Jake said.
“I found out that I no longer had to work 40 hours a week for someone else, I could work 80 hours a week and be my own boss – what a deal!”
