Debby
Schloegel, owner of Schloegel Decorating Resource has worked in the field of interior design for years and has often consulted with clients of Schloegel Design Remodel working along side her husband and founder, Jake Schloegel. After recently completing her Associates degree from Johnson County Community College in Interior Design, she’ll begin working with the Project Design Team on a contract basis. This will allow her to maintain her current client base and bring a new realm of services to clients of both companies.
As part of the design team, Debby will make selection of colors, materials and finishes to appropriately convey the design concept; make selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, equipment and millwork; and design layouts for lighting, materials, finishes and furniture. Interior design is concerned with more than just the visual enhancement of an interior space, it seeks to optimize and harmonize the uses to which the interior environment will be put.
Factors that play into the design solution include the dimension and construction of the space itself, the intended use for the space, what the space signifies. There are also practical considerations to be made regarding acoustics, seating, ease of access, amount of light, etc.
Attention to special needs or health and safety considerations must also be made.
