Megan Bringman joined Kelly Nyberg on KC Live this week to discuss some of the hot home design trends of 2019 and the NARI Remodeled Homes Tour which is April 13 & 14.
The National Association of Remodeling Industry’s (NARI) Spring Remodeled Home Tour is Saturday, April 13 from 10 – 5 and Sunday, April 14 from 11 – 4. To say we’re excited about the tour this year would be an understatement. We have two whole house projects on the tour this year and they’re so good both of them have recently been showcased in local design magazines!
This two-story home in Overland Park, built in 2004, is similar to one many of us have seen. The home layout is ideal for today’s lifestyle but the style…not so much. Yet, ripping out and replacing beautiful cabinets seemed like such a waste, which is where the power of paint comes in.
We are so excited to see The Ward Parkway Renovation project featured in Space’s March issue! Andrea Darr did a brilliant job writing about the amazing home and its wonderful owner Jen Anton. Not to mention the fabulous photos by Judy Revenaugh. Designer Megan Bringman along with Amy Boeshaar helped bring Jen’s visions become a reality.
Spring is nearly upon us, at least we are crossing our fingers it is, and it’s time to start thinking about your home’s exterior. With the rough winter, we’ve had in KC that list may be larger than usual whether it be clearing away branches, re-seeding your lawn or repainting your home.
New paint can make a world of difference to the appearance and energy of your house. Unfortunately, painting can be a difficult and time-consuming task. To make your life easier, we recommend hiring a professional painter. In doing so, you’ll alleviate the stress of painting and ensure a long-lasting finish.
Amy Boeshaar was recently on KC Live discussing our 2018 Big Splash project and was lucky to have Nanette and Garrett Haskin join her.
Selecting a Recipient
This is the eighth year in a row Schloegel has been able to give away a bathroom. Each year we take nominations, which are made by a health or professional provider.
You know you want to revamp your home, but you’re not sure exactly what to do. Does that sound familiar? Before you can call up professional painting services, you need some inspiration for your home redesign, and we’re here to help!
Use a Paint Visualizer
It’s hard to imagine how an entire room will look by looking at a color swatch on your wall.
Not all professional painters are the same, and you don’t want to get stuck working with the wrong painter. If you’re contracting a painter for your home remodel, here’s how to spot an unprofessional paint service.
Lack of Detail in the Contract
Some contractors out there intentionally leave out the extent of work that needs to be done on your home in order to produce a quality paint job.
Picking the right color palette for your Kansas City home can be one of the trickiest aspects of renovating and decorating. Making the right choice of palette requires endless hours of trial and error, which is not something many people have time for.
Utilizing color is such a critical aspect of designing your space, and by picking the right tones, you can transform your Kansas City home into a newer, fresher space.
