With a new year comes new paint trends. This year the paint manufacturers tried to not only find what they felt was the color for this year but a color to start a new decade. They follow paint trends pretty carefully, after all, it is their business. They put a ton of research into sales trends and use those to develop yearly forecasts for what they believe will be the color or colors of the year.
It’s hard to believe it is 2020 and the start of a new decade. We were especially excited to ring in the new year as it marks Schloegel Design Remodel’s 40th anniversary! We will be celebrating this milestone throughout 2020 by sharing memories each Monday as well as highlight 40 past and present projects we’ve had the opportunity to work on.
QualifiedRemodeler published an article this year focusing on how to get your project punch list to zero. The article highlights the Schloegel process shared by Chris Peterson, MCR, CLC. It’s our 2nd Annual Holiday Dumpster Décor Contest and oh boy is it a good one! We had so much fun last year we decided we should try and do it every year. Take a look at last year's Dumpster Decor contest. This year the teams did spectacular and it’s official we have the most creative team in Kansas City, well we may be a bit biased.
Yes, you read that right, there are more than one! This year we find ourselves in a precarious position with three amazing; extremely deserving kids and we want to help each of them. So instead of one large Big Splash project and several smaller (Ripple Effect) projects, we’re shaking them up and creating something in between, we’ll call it Mid Splash or ¾ Bath Giveaway.

In early 2018, our homeowners found themselves at a crossroads. They’d lived in their home for 10 years and love (almost) everything about it. It has character; the neighborhood and location are exactly where they wanted to be, and the school for their three young boys is just down the road.
