This is week 10 and the final week of the Kansas City Contemporary Home Renovation Series. Just in case you missed it, here’s Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, Week 5, Week 6, Week 7, Week 8 and Week 9.
One week just wasn’t enough time to reveal the entire project. Last week, we unveiled the gorgeous new kitchen, prep kitchen, and powder bathroom. This week, we take a look at the remaining rooms in the project.
Family Room
The family room was an underutilized space with an awkward layout, including storage closets. It was not ideal for entertaining. The new family room is a totally different story. It’s the perfect place for entertaining. The new bar with a sink is an awesome place to mix beverages, and guests can enjoy the amazing fish tank while catching up.
They can also study the homeowners’ amazing art pieces on the new art niche wall.
Dining Room and Entry
The stunning polished marble tile in the entryway adds a beautiful welcome for guests. The herringbone wood floors and tile in the dining room are more functional for dining than the previous carpet. They also make the space feel more cohesive and open.
Laundry Room
The new laundry room is more convenient and functional. The old laundry room was located off of the kitchen while the new room is next to the primarysuite. It also has more cabinet space. One of the best features of the new laundry room is the fabulous appliances, including a steam clothing care system.
The homeowners have been enjoying their beautiful home renovation. The art they’ve collected through their travels is perfectly displayed in their new art niche walls, while the new kitchen and family room are the perfect places for entertaining friends.
