  • Ready For a Home Refresh? – Sometimes all It Takes Is Paint!

Last updated on January 14, 2021

Paint is an amazing thing. It can instantly refresh a drab room or offer a pop of color. Painted cabinets can completely transform your home for a fraction of the cost of new cabinets. The end result never ceases to amaze! We’re about to kick off the holiday season and if you’re looking to freshen up your home quickly for guests or as a gift to yourself, our painting services may be a great option.

Painting Kitchen Cabinets

So many of our clients have beautiful oak cabinets they’re not ready to part with. When we start the remodeling process they want to know if keeping them is an option. While many factors come into play when deciding to paint cabinets such as their condition and function, it is always an option to paint them! Now before you run home with a fresh can of paint and a brush it’s important to know that it is imperative that cabinet painting is done right. Doors need to be removed and the prep work is just as important as the paint job. The cabinets need to be sanded and primed. There is a plethora of finishes on cabinets and selecting the right primer and paint is very important to make sure your cabinets don’t chip and stay beautiful for years to come.

This kitchen is a great example of what paint can do in a kitchen. The homeowner’s worked with Kelly Summers to update their kitchen. Kelly did a great job helping them select a new backsplash, counters, and hardwoods. They chose just the right complimenting stain and paint colors.

Schloegel’s Painting Services knocked it out of the park! Their attention to detail and meticulous prep work truly shows in each and every project and this one is no exception. Our team has the right tools and equipment for every job.

Painting Interior Walls & Trim

It depends who you talk to but experts recommend painting rooms an average of every five years. A little less for rooms with excessive use such as kitchens and bathrooms and a little more for rooms that don’t have quite as much wear and tear like a dining room. That’s just a guideline but if you’re like some of us you don’t paint out of necessity but rather out of just getting sick of a color in your home. Either way, it’s fun to see what the trends are and the thousands upon thousands of paint options.

Schloegel’s Painting Services has had the opportunity to work on many homes. We love seeing the different styles and choices of homeowners whether it’s the neutral white wall trend or statement black trim.
