Schloegel Design Remodel recently welcomed Amy Boeshaar back to their team as a design assistant. She helps with the sales process, project documentation, and ordering products.  She’s also a 20/20 and CAD software expert which means she can take a client’s ideas and create the designs that will bring them to life.

Amy interned at Schloegel Design Remodel in 2009 while she was earning her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from K-State.  She worked for a suppler (The Tile Shop) and a remodeling company after graduating.  She learned the remodeling business from both sides – that of the supplier and of the designer/installer.  She also worked in commercial design where she honed her communication skills by developing specification books that the end client used to select finishes for senior living facilities and hotels.

Amy prefers a transitional style which mixes traditional pieces with contemporary patterns and colors. She tries to create a timeless look with neutral background colors on walls and built-in components and then incorporates color in fabrics and fun accent pieces that can be easily changed. She loves the new bold patterns in fabrics and wall coverings.

Amy believes it is important to ask a lot of questions to discover both how a client uses their space now and what they hope to gain from remodeling.  She wants to help homeowners find their own style by breaking through all of the trends and fads that are out there.  She wants them to find what makes them HAPPY.

Amy loves going to estate sales and antique shops. She recently found some beautiful antique weathered roof brackets that she is repurposing to support the bar top in her kitchen. Amy also loves to bake and work on projects around her house.
