Update: Shelter In Place in Kansas City

Letter from co-owners Charlie Schloegel and Chris Peterson

To our valued clients,

Chris and I are aware of Kansas City Missouri’s decision, to enforce, “shelter in place” beginning Tuesday, March 24th. This is a very unique decision that has rippling effects for all of us.

Below is a link to the KCMO state of emergency proclamation.

It does appear that housing could be considered an “Essential Infrastructure.”

Also, we do NOT know what this may mean for other local governments. To our knowledge, few other municipalities, have taken this drastic measure. However, Mayor Lucas did mention in his press conference that other local governments will be taking this action. See the below link to the press conference. (St Louis has also taken this step)

We will continue to provide more information as we know more. There is a press conference scheduled for March 23rd at 1:00 pm as well.

We share this with the knowledge that COVID-19 will also potentially have extreme repercussions for SDR team members, their families, our clients, and the community. I urge you to practice CDC Guidelines surrounding COVID-19.

Chris and I will continue to communicate as more information becomes available but don't hesitate to reach out to any member of our team and share any concerns or questions you have.

Thank you,
Charlie and Chris
