We just got back our photos from the Ward Parkway Renovation and we ARE SO EXCITED to share them with you! If the all caps feel like we are yelling, we might be! The home turned out better than we even imagined. Just in case you missed it, we followed along on the progress of this project last year and here’s Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, Week 5, Week 6, Week 7, and Week 8.
The home underwent a total renovation. Doug Drury, Bob Stewart, the Schloegel team and our amazing Sub-vendors added four additions, moved walls, installed new plumbing, electrical, floors, trim, windows, a roof and the list goes on.
Kitchen & Dining
The new kitchen design utilizes every inch of wall space including a large island with seating.
The new modern classic white kitchen has every amenity. Each and every detail was thought out. One wall is the beverage area with glass cabinets for storing glassware and a built-in wine fridge, fridge, and freezer. The wall with the cooktop boasts double ovens, a Zephyr range hood, pot filler and plenty of counter space. The cabinets are Shiloh. The island serves as the centerpiece adorned with Cambria Britannica quartz counters and lit up by Circa Lighting brass pendants.
Mudroom & Butler Pantry
The former family room was turned into a butlers pantry. The original home had no entry from the garage into the home. One of the additions our team added created a mudroom which can be entered directly from the garage.
There are no words for how beautiful the new mudroom is! It is a fabulous space to walk into, drop keys and store shoes or do laundry. The built-in cabinetry is Shiloh and the countertops are Cambria Matte Black. The floor is tile is Simply Black Modern Tile. Quite possibly the greatest element in this space is the amazing Rohl Country Bath Wall Mount Faucet.
Family Room
The new family room is one of the additions on the home. The opening to the room was once a set of windows.
Vaulted ceilings with stained beams set the stage for this cozy & stylish family room. The light nutmeg oak floors, neutral furniture, and white walls really make each accent and brass fixture pop.
Entry & Living Room
The entryway and living room are perhaps the most recognizable rooms in the home. The closet door in the entry was turned into a hidden panel door. Every child’s dream secret room!
While the rooms may be recognizable by no means are they the same. The living room feels much brighter and lighter with the new floors, windows, and built-in shelves. The fireplace surround is Cambria Brittanica quartz. The amazing wall scones are Arteriors Home Stefan.
Guest Bedrooms, Powder & Hall Bathrooms
The home originally had one hall bathroom. With the new home’s new design that bathroom was turned into a powder bathroom and a full bathroom was added. The bedrooms remained the same size but now boast built-in shelving in the closets, wood floors, trim and fresh paint.
Guests will have love using this fabulous new hallway bathroom. The printed tile floor adds dimension and fun while the white walls, Pottery Barn Vintage mirrors, and Restoration Hardware vanities keep it classic.
The powder bathroom is packed with design and attention to detail. The Restoration Hardware sink and vanity are Restoration Hardware. The white penny tile texture plays perfectly with the Cole & Sons Nuvolette wallpaper. The brass Circa lighting fixtures pop against the black, white & gray backdrop.
primarySuite
During the renovation, an addition was added to create what is now a dream primarysuite. The former bedroom is now the bathroom and closet while the addition is the bedroom.
The primarybedroom is stunning with its vaulted ceilings and a brass chandelier. The wall with the bed is wallpapered while the rest of the walls are Benjamin Moore Athena. The homeowner’s canopy bed, white furniture, and beautiful decor make the space classic and tranquil.
A primarybathroom dreams are made of. So serene and sumptuous. The vanity is Shiloh and the countertop is Cambria Ella. The herringbone marble floor adds to the room’s luxurious feel. The fixtures are Kohler Artifacts. The brass fixtures pop against the white backdrop.
