We began working on the historical Hyde Park renovation a few weeks ago. Since the building was erected in 1921, we followed safe lead practices as required by the EPA which included the isolation of the entire building, removal and proper disposal of all debris.
We are putting the finishing touches on a lower level finish. Part of this basement was finished years ago by a previous homeowner and we were able to expand on that for an economical addition to this home. This expanded finished area includes a television room, half bathroom and storage closet.
Here is a photo of our oldest son, Ben along with his dog Sammy. They dropped by the office the other day. Ben has just returned from Hawaii where he participated in the world championship Ironman race. To qualify for this race, Ben participated in the Louisville Ironman where he finished 1st in his age group and 6th overall, out of 3000 racers.
This past year was one of the most exciting ones that we have ever had. We loved being apart of all the new
design trends, remodeling advancements, and new home improvements. The design world sure is advancing, as commented on by a few of the posts this past year.
Wow what a dramatic bathroom makeover from Schloegel's One Week Bath! The old pink tile and pedestal sink came out in this bedroom bath and was replaced with classic white subway tile and a furniture style cabinet with Carrera marble top.
