Our homeowners built their impressive five bedroom, five and a half bathroom Overland Park, Kansas home in 2005. Parts of the home, including the kitchen, no longer reflected their style. With two of their three children already off at college and the third not far behind, now was the time to create a functional, streamlined modern kitchen to reflect their evolving interior style.
When the homeowners found this beautiful 1910 Craftsman house, they knew it was right for them but it would need a little TLC to make it into their home. Since they’d recently relocated to Kansas City, they looked for recommendations from their realtor for the right remodeling company.
The Kansas City chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) held its annual awards program, the REMY Awards on Thursday, January 17. We worked on so many wonderful projects in 2018 and are proud and honored to receive an award for 12 of these projects including the Best of Show Over $250,000. It’s quite a feat to have won an award every year since NARI started their awards program in 1990. This is especially so as Schloegel is the only Kansas City remodeling company to have done so.

This is week 3 of the Traditional Meets Modern Home Renovation Series. Just in case you missed it, here’s Week 1 and Week 2. We’re going to share the amazing transformation of the foyer and dining room in this home renovation, this week.
As we had mentioned before the floorplan in the home renovation remained essentially the same with a few modifications.
This is week 2 of the Traditional Meets Modern Home Renovation Series. Just in case you missed it, here’s Week 1. This week we’re going to take a closer look at the kitchen renovation. The kitchen hadn’t had any updates since the house was built but was in great shape.
This week we’re kicking off a new series of posts where we’ll take a look at another REMY Award-winning project. This fabulous home renovation took home a Silver in the Entire House Remodel Category. The homeowners had worked with Gayle Jagoda to renovate their previous home in 2014. When they purchased this home a few years later it needed updating and they once again turned to Gayle and the Schloegel crew to help.
Every year, we submit several of our best projects to REMY to be evaluated, and we wanted to share with you one of our big winners. This project, a beautiful, Italian inspired outdoor living space, won the Gold Medal for Exterior Remodel of the Year in the Under $100,000 category.
